About: The Trust seeks to provide current income exempt from regular federal income tax and New York state and New York city personal income taxes. Normally, at least 80% of the Trusts total assets will be invested in municipal obligations. At least 65% of the Trusts total assets will be invested in municipal obligations issued by the State of New York (or equivalent) and that are rated at least investment grade, or of similar quality. The Trust may invest up to 35% of its total assets in municipal obligations rated below investment grade (but not more than 30% lower than B). The Trust may be invested in residual interest municipal obligations whose interest rates bear an inverse relationship to the interest rate on another security or the value of an index. The Trust will attempt to enhance performance opportunities by seeking to remain fully invested. The Trust may make use of derivatives as a means of hedging against changes in interest rates.
