About: The primary objective is to provide current income by investing principally in corporate debt obligations, including Corporate Loans that are rated in the lower rating categories of the established rating services. The secondary objective is capital appreciation. Up to 20% of its total assets may be invested in debt securities that at the time of investment are subject to bankruptcy proceedings or otherwise in default. It may invest up to 20% of its total assets in financial instruments of issuers domiciled outside the U.S. or that are denominated in various foreign currencies and multinational foreign currency units. It may engage in various portfolio investment strategies including purchasing and selling financial futures contracts, forward foreign exchange contracts, covered call and put options and swaps.
